The JSON formatter, beautifier, validator, minifier, formatted viewer and tree viewer run in your browser using JavaScript. JSON text is processed locally to format it, validate syntax, sort keys when requested, calculate structure statistics and build the viewer.
JSON input and local files
- Pasted or typed JSON: Processed in your browser to create formatted, validated or minified output.
- Opened JSON files: When you choose or drag a local .json file into the tool, your browser reads that file locally for use in the editor.
- JSON storage: We do not intentionally store your JSON input in a database simply because you use the formatter.
Standard website request data
When you load JSONFormatter24.com, the web server receives normal request information required to deliver the page. This can include your IP address, user agent, requested URL and other standard request headers.
